Riot Kiss

Lying in the street and seemingly locked in a kiss as chaos in Vancouver erupts around them, a young couple appear oblivious to the charging crowds and baton-wielding riot police.

The photo is being hailed as our generation’s new V-J day kiss photo (the sailor kissing a nurse at the end of World War II), and, well that may be true, especially after the couple was identified and interviewed on The Today Show and Good Morning America.

Either way, the photo displays intense energy and deserves a little attention in my mind.
