The Obliteration Room

Yayoi Kusama asked a simple question: What would kids do with thousands of stickers with a giant white room as a canvas? Well, we have our answer, it is the The Obliteration Room.

The images above are just a partial view of the onslaught that occurred at the installation for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. Over the course of two weeks, the museum’s smallest visitors were given thousands upon thousands of colored dot stickers and were invited to collaborate in the transformation of the space, turning the house into a vibrantly mottled explosion of color.
